Tour Plan

Day 1: Athens – Delphi – Kalambaka

Departure: early morning from central Athens Travel north through the fertile plains of Boeotia, passing by Thebes and Levadia, before a short stop in the charming mountain village of Arachova, nestled on the slopes of Mount Parnassus. Arrive in Delphi, once considered the center of the ancient world. Explore the Archaeological Site, including: the Temple of Apollo, the Sacred Way, the Treasury of the Athenians Note: The ticket for Delphi Museum is not included in this tour. In the afternoon, continue through the beautiful landscapes and traditional towns of Central Greece. Arrive in Kalambaka, a town built at the foot of the majestic Meteora rock formations.

Day 2: Meteora – Athens

After breakfast, visit the Meteora Monasteries, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These awe-inspiring monasteries, perched atop towering rock pillars, offer a rare glimpse into centuries of monastic life, spirituality, and art. Highlights include:

  • Priceless religious and historical artifacts
  • Insight into Greek Orthodox monastic traditions
Begin your return journey to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, and Thermopylae, where you’ll make a brief stop to view the Monument of King Leonidas, commemorating the legendary Battle of Thermopylae.  Arrival in Athens: Early evening (around 19:30 for coastal hotel transfers)
